What you'll do

• Work closely with the AML team and the business to help build a best-in-class AML compliance program.

• Provide AML oversight of products and processes through monitoring and periodic reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Monitor transactions and identify suspicious activities, ensuring timely reporting to the National Crime Agency (NCA).

• Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on higher-risk customers and transactions.

• Prepare and maintain AML policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively implemented.

• Promote awareness and provide training on AML regulatory requirements and expectations.

• Review and enhance existing financial crime-related risk frameworks.

What you need to have

• Experience in overseeing AML compliance within financial services.

• Detailed knowledge of UK AML regulatory requirements.

• University degree in Law, Finance, or a related field.

• Excellent communication and listening skills.

• Fluency in English.

• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

• Strong understanding of financial crime typologies, taxonomies, and control frameworks.

• Understanding of global regulatory regimes and experience in designing and implementing financial crime frameworks to meet multi-jurisdictional requirements.

• Experience with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in financial crime risk management.
