Job Description Qualifications:

Here at Boeing Global Services (BGS) we are excited to announce that we are looking to add a Senior LEAN Practitioner to our team based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

The successful candidate will be the key implementation lead driving the site to world class operational excellence maturity.

The candidate will work collaboratively with operational, functional, and business support teams to implement Lean Boeing Production System (Lean BPS) on site. The candidate will also participate in overall operational excellence strategy deployment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Key LEAN implementation lead and point of contact at the Jacksonville facility.
  • Coach and instruct all GTO LEAN team members, including site leadership, in continuous improvement tools and operational excellence principles.
  • Develop and update instructional materials.
  • Mentor and support the development of current and future LEAN Practitioners.
  • Work with internal and external customers to improve the team’s ability to deliver value through the reduction of process waste.
  • Conduct process and supply chain-level LEAN assessments.
  • Lead and facilitate complex process improvement efforts.
  • Identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • On occasion, may be required to travel in order to share best practices and support LEAN implementation at other Boeing facilities.

  • Executive & Colleagues training and coaching
  • Support all disciplines of the organization both Business and Operations
  • Facilitate events and drive kaizen actions to closure.
  • Governance of lean tools
  • Advisor & Support Leadership Teams
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and ensure closure of actions.
  • Mentor and train LEAN team members
  • Partner with Aircraft platform owners/operations
  • Capture Lessons learned.
  • Ensure standardization and sustainment of process improvements.
  • Participate in overall site operational excellence strategy deployment.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Jacksonville, FL.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience implementing lean principles.
  • 10+ years of experience leading or facilitating continuous improvement/lean principles workshops.
  • 10+ years of experience leading teams through implementing process improvements and standardized processes
  • Experience driving organizational change through simplification of processes and frameworks
  • Experience in a role that required excellent stakeholder management skills including the ability to communicate with and influence people from varying backgrounds, including members of senior leadership teams
  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% domestically.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Lean Black Belt Certification with rapid improvement event (Kaizen) facilitation experience
  • 10+ years of experience implementing Lean manufacturing principles.
  • 10+ years of experience being involved in Employee Involvement or Engagement teams.
  • Lean implementation experience in an MRO
  • Change management certification or experience using standard change management principles
  • Experience in rapid plant turnaround environments, including opportunity identification.

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years of related work experience, 19 years of related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $126,650 - $171,350.
