About the Role

We are seeking a sharp, growth-oriented, purpose-driven, strategically minded, and innovation-focused Sustainability & Strategic Value Creation professional to accelerate AIA Singapore’s sustainability agenda and align with Group’s direction as well as Singapore Green Plan 2030.

This position spans AIA Singapore, its subsidiaries, and branches, where sustainability is increasingly integrated with customer experience, regulatory compliance, innovative solutions, product design, investment strategies, community engagement, short-term action plans, and long-term business resilience.

You will also lead AIA’s ESG Strategy in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across five key pillars: Health & Wellness, Sustainable Investment, Sustainable Operations, People & Culture, and Effective Governance.

1. Strategic Opportunity Identification

  • Identify new business opportunities where sustainability creates value
  • Conduct market scans on how the market integrate sustainability considerations into business and operations, and identify new trends  

2. Sustainability Reporting Excellence

  • Support the development of the annual Sustainability Report, such as performing the analysis, producing contents with impact and coordinating all necessary efforts


3. Emissions Dashboard Monitoring

  • In charge of internal ESG dashboard to capture the use of energy/water/waste to support scope 1/2 GHG emission, the process against SBTi for scope 3 for a holistic view of our progression towards AIA Group’s Net Zero commitment
  • Analyse variance patterns and provide insights for actions of the ESG dashboard

4. Impact-driven Internal Engagement and External Partnership  

  • Oversee the stakeholder engagement strategy, collaborating with functions to enhance internal and external communications on sustainability, as well as to advance AIA Singapore’s sustainability goals and profile among stakeholders
  • Support delivery of impact-driven sustainability engagement and to uplift their capability in sustainability topics, trends and knowledge
  • Track impact metrics relevant to outcomes and impact — participation, behaviour change, community reach, and brand lift.
  • Ensure engagements reflect insurer duty of care, customer excellence and wellbeing, and responsible business principles


5. Cross-functional project and stakeholder management for reporting and/or enquiry on sustainability initiatives

  • Coordinate with relevant team across the organisation on various sustainability initiatives and its enquiries
  • Support ESG Management Committee (ESGMC) Secretariat duties as well as quality management reporting to the Board.
  • Support the leadership updates and board papers for internal reporting purpose

7. Capacity Building & Internal Upskilling

  • In charge of all staffs training on Sustainability related topics together with HR, internal stakeholder engagements and group wide sustainability programs such as AIACAN.
  • Build awareness among employees and leaders on why sustainability matters for a life insurer’s long-term profitability and brand.


8. Operational & Administrative Excellence

  • Maintain documentation, trackers, SharePoint structures, and governance logs.
  • Support logistics for sustainability events, leadership engagements, regulatory sessions
     

9. Others

  • Support implementation plans and enhancements against our overall capabilities to meet all the regulatory requirements and expectations such as the that in MAS Environmental Risk Management Guideline
  • Support Group Sustainability programmes and initiatives, as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a stakeholder engagement related role
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree any discipline
  • Experience in developing different types of communication content and materials such as newsletters, case studies, media releases, websites, reports, slide decks, and resource documents
  • Experience in partnership on strengthening insurer brand, trust, and customer value would be a plus
  • Skilled communicator with experience in developing positive stakeholder engagement initiatives and securing buy-in from a diverse range of partners and stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and monitoring emission dashboard and provide insights for actions
  • Fluency in English is a must; excellent English language writing and editing skills are essential for this role
  • Credentials and training in sustainability and ESG areas would be a plus
  • Experience in disclosure report, value creations would be a plus
  • Experience in ESG and / or sustainability within corporates, financial institutions or consulting firms would be a plus
  • Team player with strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to initiate, organise, coordinate and prioritise a wide range of deliverables
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong proactive and learning agility
