The Job-At-A-Glance:

At Q2, we operate fully in Azure cloud environment. We deploy to our customer facing production environment 10 or more times per week during business hours. From code check-in to production deployment takes forty-five minutes. The speed of our delivery allows us maximum agility in our development process. Our Software Delivery team currently supports 27 production pipelines and 15 additional purely pre-production pipelines. We are always looking for ways to improve our pipeline processes. As part of the Product team, our role is to support the software engineers in providing swift and valuable changes to our customers.

A Typical Day:

The Software Delivery team is responsible for the delivery of our Applications and our team’s mission includes:

  • Making both our customer and software engineer experience as efficient as possible

  • Scaling our applications from a monolithic stack to a multi-stack environment

  • Monitoring user experience performance

  • Maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans and processes

  • Providing new internal and 3rd party tools and systems to accomplish our team’s goals

  • Support the Product teams with cloud infrastructure

Join a team of engineers working on groundbreaking technologies in the Microsoft .Net and Azure space. You will support processes for building .Net and Javascript, unit testing, and cloud analytics. You will integrate 3rd party systems like Jira and deployments to providers like Salesforce, Dynamics, and others.

As the next member of our team, you will:

  • Get your hands dirty with our deployment process as we continue to grow across multiple systems and international regions Design and implement pipelines for new technologies

  • Use your expertise, and what you learn from others, to bring even more ideas to the table

  • Support existing and craft new cloud infrastructure.

  • Monitor and improve application security

  • Provide automation support to the Product teams

  • Help us introduce standard methodologies and participate in process improvement.

  • Use existing and cutting-edge technologies.

  • You’ll need to expand and grow as our team does (so expect more responsibilities).

  • Develop new ways to deploy packages across multiple production applications.

  • Use your Azure skills to help maintain Microsoft best practices as we expand

  • Track down, evaluate, and implement new performance tools.

  • Make us Awesome (and possibly slay a dragon or two).

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love.  Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of professional experience with a public cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS)

  • 8+ years of professional experience working with CI/CD pipelines on any platform (GitLab, TeamCity, Jenkins, Azure-Devops)

  • Proficiency in one or more programming (e.g. C#, Java, Python, Go, Javascript) and scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, Powershell) languages

  • Empathy for the end user and a desire to measure your work by both the customer value and technical quality

  • A bias for action tempered with thinking about the implications of the work you're doing

  • Enthusiasm for the field and professional development/improvement outside the day-to-day job

  • Strong preference for automating repetitive manual tasks

  • 5+ years experience in a DevOps, Platform, or SRE role

  • 5+ years experience with an Infrastructure as Code technology (Terraform or similar)

  • 5+ years experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration technology

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and dashboard technologies

  • Experience leading cross-team projects and mentoring other engineers
