Key job purpose
Conduct investigations on the bonding and debonding of adhesively bonded composite joints with modified adhesives via induction heating by developing a in-situ heating – peeling testing device.
Key Responsibilities:
Deep drive into the modification of adhesives with magnetic particles and investigate the hysteresis heating response under the induction heating.
Able to fabricate the long fiber reinforced composite materials with modified adhesives for their joining and investigate the debonding response Develop necessary test matrix to do comprehensive parametric studies
Develop in-situ induction heating and debond test set-up for the peel tests.
Capabilities in advanced finite element or machine learning tools for process optimisation
Disseminate the research outcomes into Journal publications, conference presentations and patents, where appropriate.
