Job Description
 

Role Summary:

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for promoting Gilead’s innovative solutions to healthcare professionals (HCPs) to support patient outcomes. With a wealth of experience and deep knowledge of the therapeutic area, this role focuses on building trusted relationships, and embodying Gilead’s core values of integrity, inclusion, accountability, and scientific excellence. This position requires a strategic approach to managing complex accounts, providing valuable market insights, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Gilead innovative solutions Promotion and Patient-Centric Engagement

  • Promote Gilead’s innovative solutions for targeted therapy area by effectively communicating clinical data to HCPs.
  • Conduct in-depth, evidence-based presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Gilead’s mission to improve patient health.
  • Tailor engagement approaches to meet the needs of HCPs and their patients, acting as a trusted advisor within the therapeutic area.

2.Territory Strategy

  • Develop and implement a strategic territory plan that prioritizes patient needs and aligns with Gilead’s patient-first approach.
  • Analyze and Gather market insights, leveraging experience and field knowledge to anticipate challenges and identify opportunities.

3.Stakeholder Relationship and Key Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Provide ongoing support and education to HCPs, fostering long-term partnerships that reinforce Gilead’s commitment to scientific innovation and patient care.
  • Act as a mentor and role model for junior representatives, sharing best practices and upholding Gilead’s values of teamwork and respect.

4.Market Intelligence and Strategic Insights

  • Collect and report market intelligence, including competitor activity, product feedback, and evolving treatment trends, to inform Gilead’s strategy.
  • Offer actionable insights to cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access, to ensure that Gilead’s approach aligns with healthcare needs and market dynamics.

5.Compliance, Integrity, and Reporting

  • Uphold Gilead’s ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of HCP interactions.
  • Demonstrate Gilead’s commitment to compliance by addressing complex inquiries and challenges with honesty and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharma, with expertise in the HIV or infectious disease therapeutic area preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term, value-driven relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital engagement tools.
  • Ability to travel within the territory as required.
