Job Description:
This job is responsible for working on the least complex technical designs that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. This job facilitates deployment of technical solution by developing templates, playbooks, and automation used during implementation and consistently looking for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency of implementing services. Job expectations include embracing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Provide delivery of solutions for the Bank’s Application Delivery Network (ADN).
Specific focus for this engineering position is Application Data Controller (ADC) driving the delivery of solutions to help enable the business through new functionality and services.
This position will in addition require level 3 on call support for high severity impacting incidents will create and facilitate delivery of technical solutions for application delivery services by developing playbooks, low level designs, and deployment engineering work orders.
They will work with other teams to enable business strategies and solutions.
Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies, contributing to the technology strategy for end-to-end engineering solutions and providing feedback to the architecture teams
Follows reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure the design is compliant
Assists in translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
Assists Technical Analysts by ensuring system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
Supports an inclusive and healthy working environment
Required Skills:
* Engineer able to provide technical leadership and delivery strategy for Application Delivery Services to align business requirements to technical solutions to improve availability, functionality, and security.
* Working with lines of business to translate/align business requirements for delivery of the ADS services.
* Ability to analyze and understand a variety of existing and emerging business requirements, interface with technology engagement teams as a fully seasoned and proficient traffic management solutions engineer, in providing best in class application load balancing solutions that align to meet business and technology requirements.
* This highly dynamic position will require the ability to manage multiple technical project engagements requiring the candidate to be a “team player” who can also work independently in managing to multiple deadlines, priorities and diverse set of applications and requirements.
* Candidate will be a strong engineering minded individual with polished collaboration, written, and communication skills and a proven track record interacting with various levels of management, clients, and technical team members in delivering technical traffic management solutions.
* Development, and optimization of F5 rule
Desired Skills:
* 5+ years of experience as a technical SME (Network)
* 3+ experience in engineering with F5 Networks products (LTM/GTM)
* 3+ years of experience with VMWare/Avi Networks experience
* 3+ years working in conjunction with products and services such as DNS, Load Balancing
* Experience in Inventory Management
* Experience with other equivalent Application Delivery Controller such as Avi Networks, Citrix, etc.
* Strong understanding of general network technologies (e.g., TCP/IP networking, SSL, Firewall, Proxy, Load Balancing)
* Deep knowledge of diverse networking devices like Routing, Switching, Firewalls, WAF
* F5 TMSH Experience and Knowledge
* Experience with routing solutions such as BGP setup for Anycast based Infrastructure Services Other Skills/Knowledge
* Linux OS Experience
* VMWare, Azure, Terraform/Cloud formation experience.
* Understanding of Cloud services and SDN * Deep understanding of diverse set of networked applications and terms requiring application traffic management solutions, including HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, FTP, DNS, NTP, ANYCAST services, NAT, WAF, Firewalls, Routing, Switching, etc.
* Programming with Python Experience
