Account Manager, FI segment
Overview
Drive the expansion of payment acceptance across Financial Institutions segment in 3 markets (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro), ensuring strategic growth and revenue targets are met. This role focuses on building partnerships, launching innovative acceptance solutions, and enabling FI segment partners to adopt new payment technologies.
Role
• Responsible for setting sales strategies and proposals to achieve sales goals that drive market share, volume, and revenue growth in acquiring business
• In cooperation with Account Managers responsible for Issuing business, manages existing customer relationships with Financial Institutions, as well as the acquisition of new customers
• Capable of negotiating and dealing on C-Level to identify opportunities and customer requirements
• Focus on client success. Partners with the customer to establish, execute and report progress against annual acquiring business plans
• Develop strong internal relationships within Mastercard to enable business goals achievement and differentiate Mastercard from the competitors.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities for new services and solutions.
• Identify acceptance gaps and propose tailored solutions.
• Translate insights into actionable acquiring strategies.

• Years in payments or acceptance development.
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems and digital commerce.
• Proven ability in consultative selling and solution-based approaches.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills with an evidenced track record in problem-solving and creating solutions that increase revenue.
• Experienced in planning, managing, and closing complex, competitive sales efforts.
• Impactful and influencing, strong negotiation skills.
• Team player with ability to work with all levels in a highly intellectual, collaborative, and fast paced environment.
• Ability to manage and grow internal and external cross functional relationships and partnership.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Fluent in English; additional regional languages a plus.
