Who we are looking for

SSCD (State Street Core Data) is a strategic data platform widely used across State Street to support core financial services, analytics, reporting, and downstream integrations. It is built on modern data technologies with Snowflake at its core and integrates data from multiple source systems across the firm.

We are looking for a hands‑on SSCD Developer who can work independently across the full development lifecycle, including data ingestion, transformation, Snowflake views, and supporting services. The ideal candidate is smart to use AI tool working end‑to‑end on development stories, from requirement clarification through implementation and support, while collaborating effectively with global teams.

What you will be responsible for

As an Application / Data Developer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain SSCD components, including Snowflake objects (tables, views, stored procedures), data transformations, and supporting services.
  • Implement development assignments across SSCD initiatives, including enhancements, defect fixes, and production support.
  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, QA, and downstream consumers to understand requirements and deliver high‑quality, reliable solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and correctness across reference and consumption layers.
  • Promote and implement secure development practices and ensure solutions comply with State Street security, risk, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, release activities, and post‑deployment validation.
  • Proficient in AI tool usage to deliver with high efficiency is a must

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • 1-3 years of development experience, preferably in data‑centric or platform engineering roles.
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases; hands‑on experience with Snowflake is highly preferred.
  • Experience with AI tools used in data processing or backend services.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based platforms and modern data architectures.
  • Understanding of SDLC, version control, CI/CD, and production support practices.
  • Good English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global, distributed team.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and collaborate efficiently with cross‑functional partners.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
