Summary:
Responsible for removing mechanical systems and components of the car, such as brakes, suspension, driveline, steering, cooling system and exhaust system. Responsible for making technical decisions based on knowledge, experience, and direction from other departments, including Engineering. Responsible for car and component disassembly, cleaning, servicing and documentation in both written and electronic form.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Disassemble, and/or replace steering and suspension components.
Disassemble, inspect, and take samples from components for review and inspection.
Removal of engine, driveline, and all related components
Cleaning of chassis, hoses, tethers and other related components
Tracking / Updating mileage in a computer-based database system
Pressure checking oil and water lines
Ability to work with vehicles from multiple racing series
