PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects. Ensures that all project deliverables are accomplished in accordance with company policy, government regulations, and PMI best practices.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel across various operational disciplines.
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
- Acts as a subject matter expert regarding Project Management methodologies, tools, techniques, principles, and best practices.
- May provide assistance to junior level staff with more complex tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions.
- May escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
- Mentor other staff as applicable.
- Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree desirable.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 5 – 8 years’ related experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience.
- Project Management Certificate from accredited college or university preferred but not required.
- Current PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Superior organization, planning, and time-management skills.
- Proven track record of using PMI best practices in managing projects of all sizes and complexity.
- Ability to build effective teams and motivate others.
- Experience using MS Office tools including MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and clients simultaneously.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing priorities and strategic directions.
