Position Overview

Are you a seasoned security professional with a passion for protecting people and assets in a dynamic, fast-paced technology environment? Autodesk’s Global Physical Security team is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Manager to lead and manage several global programs and initiatives. This role demands strong people management skills, deep subject matter expertise in physical security principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.

As the Senior Manager for Global Physical Security Operations, you will oversee key functions within our security infrastructure, including:

  • Global Security Operations Center (GSOC): Leading 24/7 monitoring and response for physical security incidents globally

  • Incident Response: Developing and managing responses to security threats or breaches

  • Workplace Physical Security: Ensuring the safety and security of Autodesk’s offices and facilities worldwide

  • Access Control & Identity Management: Overseeing the physical access systems that protect our people, assets, and intellectual property

  • Technical Systems & Applications: Collaborating with teams responsible for security technology and innovation

You’ll work closely with global teams across Physical Security Services, including event & travel security, protective services (executive protection), and investigations, as well as with Workplace Operations, Real Estate, and Security Technology. You’ll also collaborate with stakeholders from diverse departments such as Executive Leadership, Travel & Meetings, and Projects to address physical security challenges and support strategic initiatives.

This role will report into the Senior Director, Safety and Security, and can be in based in the United States in a remote or hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Physical Security Operations team, including the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), incident response, workplace physical security, and physical access control & identity management

  • Oversee supporting technical systems and applications to ensure seamless security operations

  • Collaborate closely with inter-division and department global teams such as Physical Security Services, Workplace Operations, Travel & Meetings, and Real Estate

  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to provide support and direction on physical security matters

  • Develop and implement long-term operational plans with financial and organizational components

  • Contribute to broader strategies relevant to the physical security discipline

  • Address areas where procedures are not established, defining and adapting approaches as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in physical security management within a fast-paced technology organization

  • 7+ years of experiences with corporate physical security/law enforcement operational and program development, planning and execution

  • Strong people management skills and the ability to lead diverse teams

  • Expertise in physical security principles, practices, and programs

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and executive leadership

  • Ability to develop and implement strategic operational plans

  • Experience in managing security operations centers, incident response, and physical access control systems

  • Ability and willingness to be on call 24/7 to respond to company-related security emergencies

  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel may be required

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $130,200 and $210,540. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
