Your Impact
The Director of Analytics will lead a team of statisticians and analytical professionals in developing models and algorithms that facilitate rapid, real-time decision-making across the organization. This role involves aligning the data analytics and computational intelligence (DACI) department with enterprise priorities, staying abreast of analytical trends, and strategically managing the team's capabilities. The Director will drive value by enhancing customer experiences and reducing business costs. Additionally, the role will define team strategy, ensure effective collaboration with stakeholders, and remove obstacles to optimize team performance and engagement.
What You Will Do
• Lead a team in support of achieving the company’s mission. Manage performance and foster an inclusive environment to help associates achieve their potential.
• Define and execute the analytics roadmap to align with overall corporate goals. Partner with senior leadership and functional heads to identify and prioritize high-impact analytics projects.
• Present insights, trends, and recommendations to executive leadership, influencing strategic decisions and investments.
• Drive the adoption of data-driven strategies and establish best practices for analytics across the organization.
• Oversee the design and implementation of advanced analytics models, including predictive analytics, AI/ML solutions, and data visualization.
• Ensure analytics initiatives deliver measurable business impact, such as revenue growth, cost optimization, and improved customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to establish and maintain data infrastructure, governance frameworks, and security protocols.
• Ensure data integrity and quality through robust processes and data validation practices.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and champion the adoption of cutting-edge tools and techniques that drive innovation and efficiency across the organization.
• Stay updated on and promote industry trends and best practices to ensure the team works as efficiently as possible and analytical capabilities remain competitive.
• Responsible for departmental budget and forecasting decisions, and budget allocation; ensure solutions are delivered in a cost-effective manner.
Minimum Qualifications
• 10 years of applied analytics experience spanning areas such as merchandising, supply chain, customer and marketing, commercial business support, or other areas of retail operations
• 5 years of direct team leadership experience leading a large team of analytic professionals in retail, technology, or other customer driven organization
• Experience with R, Python, SQL, NoSQL languages
• Experience translating business requirements into analytics models and presenting/communicating analytics results to business partners
• Experience working with enterprise-level big data management platforms
• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, statistics, data or information sciences, or related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
Preferred Skills/Education
• Functional experience performing predictive analytics at a large-scale enterprise
• Experience performing advanced data modeling, data mining and exploratory data analysis
• Experience working cross-functionally
• Master's degree in business, statistics, mathematics, data science, engineering, or related field
