Are you an organized planner that enjoys maintenance activities such as, job planning, labor estimation, and material procurement?

As a Planner/Scheduler II your focus will be on assisting the team leads/technical supervisor with future maintenance activities such as maintenance planning and scheduling, outage coordination, procuring materials, developing work order requests, and coordinating field maintenance contractors. What you will do:

  • Develop and document maintenance work packages.

  • Conduct field walk downs to identify and document job requirements. Identify specific safety hazards to be addressed during work execution.

  • Estimate required hours, by craft, to perform work and skills required to perform tasks.

  • Identify and document equipment isolation and lock-out plans, required materials, special tools and equipment and outage requirements.

  • Review job scope, procedures, and jobs plans with technicians.

  • Update work packages based on feedback from technicians.

  • Complete initial and final work order screening process for accuracy and completeness

Weekly Scheduling:

  • Prioritize maintenance work with stakeholder input.

  • Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor and RMA to develop weekly routine schedules.

  • Lead the weekly maintenance scheduling meeting.

  • Ensure all resources are available prior to start of jobs (parts, drawings, manuals, tools, manpower, mobile equipment, etc.)

  • Coordinate PLM and other resources as needed.

Outage Scheduling:

  • Communicate site/area operational outage requirements with the Region Outage Coordinator.

  • Enter COPAS requests for planned work resulting in system/ operational impacts.

  • Assist in the development of area outage plans and schedules.

  • Collaborate with SCM to specify and procure parts and materials.

  • Generate contractual work orders for contractor support.

  • Ensure that drawings, asset records, and technical records are updated as required.

  • Collaborate with the Operations Services Maximo Analyst and Region RMA to integrate new project Maximo functional tags, PMs, and asset records into the existing system.

  • Collaborate with area technicians, Region RMA, and outage coordinator to optimize the coordination of PM scheduling and execution.

  • Complete all safety training and technical training

  • Communicate with and maintain a positive working relationship with the Control Center Operators, Engineering, Operations personnel, Maintenance personnel, and other internal and external partners.

Who You Are:

You have the following education & experience:

  • Related university degree and six‐plus years’ experience OR eight‐plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.

  • Strong documentation skills.

  • Good maintenance skills and experience.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good computer skills, (Microsoft Word, Excel Programs)

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, or a part of a broad team.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong maintenance planning and scheduling skills.

  • Strong ability to solve problems and develop solutions.

  • Deep technical (SME) expertise across multiple equipment classes within their specific craft, or a broad technical skillset or certification across more than one technical field

  • Advanced knowledge and application of maintenance and reliability best practices. Typically includes additional training and/or certification in this field

  • Routinely leads by thought and example by recognizing and driving continuous improvement in Work Execution Management processes.

Preferred:

  • Experience using computerized maintenance management system (Maximo), and capacity outage planning and safe work approval (COPAS)

  • Ability to read and understand P&ID drawings and OEM manuals.

  • Knowledgeable in oil/gas pipeline operations is desirable.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasionally required to work long hours on short notice.

  • Occasional daily travel of 50-100 miles between assigned stations.

  • Travel throughout the region for emergencies, training, and region meetings.

  • Office setting (60%)

  • Field setting (40%)

  • Occasional work in extreme cold (-40F) and extreme heat (100 F).

  • Work often required in high noise level areas and areas where vapor from crude oil and solvents may be present.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations. Agility with the ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices using feet and legs, and/or hands and arms.
