We’re also here to make this whole energy thing way easier for our customers. Like, really easy. That means providing exceptional service and using state-of-the-art tech to do it.

We are excited to welcome a collaborative and supportive Data Team Manager to our growing Data team. In this role, you will guide and nurture a dynamic medium sized team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, empowering them to create data products and insights that unlock the full potential of our data.

As a trusted business partner, you will work closely with teams across Commercial, Marketing, Debt, and Operations, fostering a data-driven culture. You’ll bring a consultative and relationship-focused approach, inspiring confidence and collaboration with stakeholders as you shape data strategies and guide them from concept to realisation.

With a focus on empowerment, you’ll champion organisational data literacy, encouraging curiosity and enabling self-service analytics. This will allow your team to focus on impactful, innovative opportunities in advanced analytics, AI, machine learning, and data science.

If you are passionate about creating a supportive and engaging environment, thrive in a fast-paced setting, and enjoy working collaboratively, we’d love to hear from you. Ideally, you bring experience with Databricks and the energy retail sector, with a desire to make a meaningful impact.

Here's a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Strategic Data Roadmap: Develop and deliver a clear data roadmap aligned with business OKRs and the broader data strategy, prioritising effectively to balance immediate needs with long-term goals.

  • Empowering Data Literacy: Foster a culture of learning by enhancing organisational data literacy and self-serve capabilities, enabling the data team to focus on advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning opportunities that drive meaningful outcomes.

  • Leading Transformation: Guide data transformation efforts by creating a reliable single source of truth in Databricks, providing timely and accurate data to empower better decision-making and personalised stakeholder experiences.

  • People-Focused Leadership: Support and nurture the team, fostering an inclusive and respectful environment where everyone feels valued, encouraged to grow, and empowered to contribute their best. Focus on continuous improvement and maintain thorough documentation to support best practices.
