Mudflap serves the $800B trucking industry, the backbone of the U.S. economy. Our market-leading payment products help truckers save thousands of dollars on fuel (their #1 business expense), while providing our fuel stop partners with access to new, hard-to-reach customers. We’re a fast-growing marketplace business looking for a new customer-obsessed teammate to join us on this exciting journey.

As an Information Technology Administrator, you will support Mudflap’s technical operations on a daily basis. This includes physical logistics (shipping and receiving employee/partner equipment), mobile/desktop technical support, as well as maintenance responsibility for our office network and some internal/cloud applications.

This position requires working onsite at our Palo Alto, CA headquarters at least two days a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, and additionally when critical needs occur.

Expectations (In this role, you will):

  • Be willing to do occasional domestic travel to satellite office and/or partner locations
  • Be in good physical health, able to lift up to 50 lbs. This role includes responsibility for shipping Android tablets and laptop computers to our partners and employees
  • Possess strong end-user IT troubleshooting skills across Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac clients and the communication ability/patience to support a distributed team - most IT incidents will not be in the office
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and the desire to improve operations around IT-centric processes like employee onboarding/off-boarding
  • Develop and maintain SaaS inventory and oversee all provisioning and de-provisioning in tandem with Management and Finance
  • Be extremely trustworthy, and appreciate the responsibility associated with having an elevated level of access to company systems and data

Experience (What we look for):

  • Strong desktop support experience or equivalent proficiency as a “power user” of Windows and Mac devices
  • Demonstrated success working in an unstructured environment without a lot of day-to-day oversight; people management experience is not required but this is a senior role reporting directly to the Leadership team. You do what it takes to get the job done!
  • You’ve maintained a small office network with multiple wifi access points, wired connections, video conferencing equipment, printers, etc. You may not be a software engineer, but you're comfortable opening a command line / terminal and doing basic IP network troubleshooting
  • BONUS: Information Security, computer networking or maintenance certifications

Perks and Benefits (What we offer):

  • A remote-first company focused on hiring the best talent
  • A committed team on a mission to change a massive industry for the better
  • A high bar for quality and commitment to self-improvement
  • An open mind to new ideas and methodologies
  • Competitive salary and benefit options
  • Opportunities and support for major career growth

The salary range for this role is $116,000 - $157,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, which may be subject to change as new market data becomes available. The candidate's skills, experience, and other relevant factors will determine the exact compensation. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards or short-term incentives. Our benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, WFH stipend, and PTO.
