Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with different teams to troubleshoot problems, ensuring that systems operate smoothly and efficiently, and contributing to the overall success of the organization by maintaining high service standards and responsiveness to user needs. You will engage in problem-solving activities, analyse system performance, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency, all while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be a Senior Engineer. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate training sessions for junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. - Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server Administration. - Strong understanding of server configuration and management. - Experience with troubleshooting and resolving server-related issues. - Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions for Windows Server environments. - Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices. - Good experience in Windows Server Patching - Minimum 2+yrs of relevant experience for L1 and 5+yrs of experience for L2 is preferable. - Knowledge on Microsoft Active Directory Services like DNS, DHCP & Site and Services. - Knowledge on Hyper-V servers and to manage Hyper-V server with all features enabled. - Troubleshooting issues related to performance on Windows Operating systems, Hyper-V, H/W issues, - Experience on Datacenter Management & PowerShell scripting - Should be open for 24/7 rotational shifts. - Good verbal and written communications skills. - Experience in Service Now Incident and Change modules is a plus with ITIL knowledge. - Knowledge on Microsoft Azure is desirable - Certifications: - MCP/MCSE/MCSA/AZ-104 (Any one is Preferable) - Knowledge on Backup (Optional). Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration. - This position is based at our Bangalore office. - A 15 year full time education is required.
