Experience Level(s):
Mid Level ⋅ Senior

Field(s):
Software Engineering

Scope:

  • Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) is seeking a Software Engineer with deep expertise in Defense Logistics Management Specifications (DLMS) or enterprise-grade Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems to lead the design and modernization of mission-critical logistics integration platforms.

  • This role will be responsible for architecting scalable, resilient solutions that support complex document exchange, transformation, and orchestration workflows across internal and external partners, including government and defense systems.

  • The ideal candidate brings strong experience in EDI standards, message processing systems, and integration architectures, and can bridge traditional EDI systems with modern, cloud-native, event-driven platforms.

Our current technical environment:

  • Software: Java 8, Oracle Sql, any Sql Database, Basic understanding of OOPs, Design patterns, Basic Front end understanding, basic understanding of Data Structures, javascript/react js, Node js, python, EDI standards like ANSI X12 or EDIFAC.

  • Application Architecture: Service Networking Overlay, aiming for a single, cloud-agnostic architecture that simplifies policy management across public/private clouds via components like service meshes, API gateways, and centralized control planes, allowing consistent security and traffic flow (like a modern microservices approach), differing from simple client-server models by abstracting network complexity.

  • Cloud Architecture: ** Cloud-Agnostic:** Runs consistently across different cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise.

  • Frameworks/Others: Good to know Hibernate and Spring framework.
