The Principal, Business Valuation is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing tax services.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

People:

  • Works with Ryan Business Valuation Practice to develop new planning ideas to deliver to global clients
  • Works with Ryan Income Tax Consultancy-Recovery practice to develop new planning ideas to deliver to global clients
  • Supervises consulting and compliance work delegated to staff and managers.

Client:

  • Develops new client relationships and works with Ryan global management team to expand the practice to other markets
  • Coordinates the delivery of Business Valuation services to Ryan multinational clients
  • Presents presentations to prospects and clients.

Value:

  • Develops and executes Business Valuation consulting projects
  • Develops and supervises Business Valuation compliance projects
  • Serves as subject matter expert on International Income Tax in assigned jurisdictions / geographical areas
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Economics required; a minimum of 10 to 12 years’ experience in Income Tax; excellent technical income tax skills; deep familiarity with income tax laws and rules, especially those governing international trade and cross-border transactions of goods and services; previous track record of excellent service delivery and working in a team environment.

Computer Skills: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses: 

Valid Passport required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

Directly supervises employees in the International Income Tax practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm’s policies and applicable laws.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Position requires regular interaction with coworkers and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
  • Independent travel requirement: 10 to 30% but will vary by individual.
