The Boat Captain safely and effectively operates and manages the M/V Naiad, her crew and passengers while carrying out the sea scattering service provided to our guests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• In command of the vessel and of standing the navigational watch
• Ensures safety of vessel, crew, and passengers    
• Maintains good order and accountability of all crew and passengers
• Operates vessel in compliance with all regulations required by the USCG

MINIMUM Requirements

Education

• Training at accredited maritime institutions or equivalent on the job training
• College degree preferred

Certification/License

• 100 Ton Inland or Near Coastal Masters License
• FCC radio operators permit
• Radar certification

  

Experience

• 2 years of previous captain experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Rules and Regulations provided by the USCG
• Working knowledge of vessels and all machinery and instruments on board
• Safe practices and good seamanship is a must.

Compensation:

Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 annually
