We are looking for a Technical Specialist to join our Investment Operations team in Kuala Lumpur, supporting a growing function across dealing, registration, cash and corporate actions.

This role sits within an established team and will play a key part in strengthening our regulatory reporting capability. You’ll take ownership of reviewing and validating reporting submitted to regulators, ensuring accuracy, compliance and adherence to internal and external standards. Alongside this, you’ll remain hands-on operationally, supporting dealing activities and trade execution as part of a collaborative team environment.

This is a varied, technical role that blends oversight with dealing. Approximately half of your time will focus on regulatory reporting (including monthly reporting cycles), with the remainder supporting day-to-day dealing activity.

Working closely with the dealing, registration and corporate actions teams, you’ll act as a key point of technical expertise, helping to uplift processes, strengthen controls and support continuous improvement across the function.

The responsibilities will include:  

• Own and review regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with all internal and external requirements
• Support day-to-day dealing activities, including trade execution and operational processing
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex operational queries across dealing, registration and corporate actions
• Strengthen first line risk and control processes, including error management, incident investigation and reporting
• Deliver against KPI/KRI targets, proactively identifying risks and implementing controls to maintain service standards
• Support change initiatives and continuous improvement programmes, ensuring effective implementation and operational readiness
• Oversee technical compliance with regulatory requirements, including management of reporting, audits and control frameworks
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring high-quality service delivery and collaboration

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:

• Strong investment operations experience within the wealth management or platform environment
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end platform proposition, from retail clients through to asset servicing
• Must have hands-on dealing / trading experience — this is a critical requirement
• Previous experience in an operations or team leadership capacity
• Demonstrated experience in a client-focused role, delivering against service standards and KPIs
• Strong technical knowledge of investment operations processes, including dealing, cash, registration or corporate actions
• Experience supporting or driving change initiatives within an operations environment
• Good understanding of risk, controls and regulatory frameworks within financial services
