The Senior Automation Support Engineer II supports large, high‑throughput customer sites during system launches, including go‑live, ramp‑up, and hyper‑care phases. This role is critical to ensuring system stability, rapid incident recovery, and clear communication in live, high‑volume operations.
You will work directly with customer on‑site technical teams as a trusted technical expert, coaching them through troubleshooting, stabilization, and operational readiness. During incidents, you serve as the primary technical liaison between the customer site and Vanderlande, driving effective diagnostics, escalation, and resolution.
The role operates in fast‑paced environments where flexibility is essential. Launch activities may require nights, weekends, and extended on‑site assignments (typically 2–4 weeks). When not supporting new launches, you will provide remote technical support to existing customer sites via the North American Service Center (NASC).
This position specializes in Vanderlande Cross Belt Sorter (SCS) controls, utilizing Siemens IPC platforms and Profinet industrial networks.
Key Responsibilities
This role requires frequent travel to customer sites across North America. Expected travel is 75%–100%, based on launch schedules.
