As an engineer on the Domains Growth team, you will be part the effort to build several core capabilities in the domain space including: Front Site Landing Page for Squarespace Domains and other traffic entry points, domain search, reseller opportunities, pricing strategy, cross-sell, conversion, checkout, and other growth areas in Premium and Expired Domains. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product and design to build systems that focus on increasing revenue, customer acquisition, and conversion. This is a hybrid role working from our New York City office 3 days per week and you will report into the Domains Growth Engineering Manager.

You'll Get To…

• Write server-side code, create high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
• Lead the development of new features and build backend services with Java.
• Collaborate with other engineers and designers to provide intuitive customer-focused experiences.
• Ensure the reliability of systems essential to Squarespace users and businesses powered by Squarespace.
• Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code).

Who We're Looking For

• 3+ years of development experience in Java, Python, Go or another Object-oriented language. Experience developing large-scale software.
• A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design practices.
• A sincere commitment to creating readable code and an understanding of database schema design, caching and scalability.
• A degree in Computer Science or related or equivalent industry experience.

Cash Compensation Range: $110,500 - $178,250 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to be granted an option to purchase our common stock. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure in addition to base salary.
