Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and the expected margin level for the Company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations with the best product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations, ensuring timely, detailed proposals that include full and accurate costs.

The work model for the role is: # LI Hybrid 

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India.

 

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Handling proposal preparation activities relating to bid submission: reviewing specifications for compliance, coordination for accurate scope and pricing, create on-time, high quality proposal documentation

• Analyze existing customer installation database (ServIS) to prepare spreadsheets for service specific upgrade campaigns of ABB product Life Cycle systems.

• Handle many projects simultaneously, and be able to participate at all levels in the tender preparation

• Coordinate with engineering, service or relevant ABB stakeholders to prepare comprehensive offers for control and powertrain upgrade solutions.

• Work independently as well as part of a team, handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Technical bid analysis, vendor document review.

• Estimation of bulk quantities and capital cost estimation for electrical scope.

Qualifications for the role:

• Minimum B.Tech/ B.E/ Diploma from a reputed University with First Class in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics engineering.

• 5-8 years of relevant work experience in electric projects pertaining to PAPI/Mining.

• Electrical Power Distribution System -MV Switchgear, LT Switchgear, Intelligent MCCs.

• Motor & Drive Selection for various applications

• Knowledge on IEDs, relays and protection devices.

• Substation SCADA with IEC 61850 communication knowledge , IED devices configuration.

• Knowledge of DCS/ PLC HW/SW Components

• Knowledge of IT/ Network/ Peripherals like UPS, Printer, PC’s, Server components of DCS

• knowledge in application programming & HMI development/ modifications for PLC/ DCS systems 

• Knowledge on different communication protocols used between PLC & Drives or in automation
