THE ROLE

  • We are looking for a self-starting, team-orientated, experienced and dynamic Content & Product Marketing Director to establish our Private Equity & VC Practice as a thought leader in the Private Equity & VC space by creating compelling and authoritative content that addresses industry and business challenges and trends.

  • You will be the voice of the private equity & vc practice and translate the needs of these businesses across marketing, sales enablement, product, and field teams. You will impact a wide variety of initiatives that support pipe generation and help drive deals to close for our teams. 

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in all areas of content and product marketing - content strategy, content creation, product messaging, planning and segmentation, customer & competitive intelligence, etc.

  • You will have a proven track record of creating and managing high-quality content that creates awareness, drives engagement across our PE Operating Partners and portfolio company CxOs, generates leads through campaigns - owned and run by you - and supports overall marketing KPIs. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent writing skills, strong project management abilities, and deep knowledge of the B2B tech landscape.

  • This role will be reporting to the global Growth & Strategic Engagement Lead.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product Enablement Strategy: Own product enablement strategy that effectively communicates the value prop to Private Equity firms and portfolio companies

  • Private Equity & VC Practice narrative: Develop PE & VC Practice narrative and GTM messaging

  • Relationship Manager (RM) Enablement: Develop, package, and deliver relevant RM enablement material, making it easy to understand our product offerings

  • Content Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive messaging and content marketing strategy aligned with business objectives of Salesforce and our practice, our target audience, and market trends.

  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality executive content including executive speaking engagements, thought leadership pieces, newsletter, customer's case studies, our website presence, social media & blog posts, Slack posts, playbooks, webinars, and video scripts that resonate with our Private Equity audience, theirs portfolio company CxOs and internal key stakeholders.

  • Product Campaigns: Planning and executing product launches and campaigns that drive awareness, adoption, and retention of the products.

  • Content Management & Campaigns: Oversee the content calendar, ensuring timely delivery and publication of content across various channels (website, webinars, social media, email, Slack etc.) and strong alignment with relevant product marketing teams inside Salesforce.

  • Content Adaptation: Adapt our Salesforce content & messaging to our target audience: Private Equity & VC

  • SEO and Analytics: Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and utilize analytics tools to measure content performance, derive insights, and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate across Salesforce teams, incl. Product Marketing, Content & Customer Marketing to gather insights and align content with product features, customer needs, and market demands.

  • Lead Generation: Develop content that supports lead generation and nurturing campaigns, in collaboration with the rest of the team.

  • Thought Leadership: Establish the company as a thought leader in the Private Equity & VC space by creating compelling and authoritative content that addresses industry and business challenges and trends.

  • Content Distribution: Manage and optimize content distribution strategies to maximize reach and engagement across various platforms. Ensure messaging alignment across all our channels.

  • Brand Voice: Maintain and evolve the Private Equity & VC practice brand voice and ensure consistency across all content.

    
    

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in content and product marketing, preferably in the B2B tech industry.

  • Proven experience in creating and managing a wide range of content types.

  • Strong understanding of the B2B tech space and its unique content needs.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, or similar.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative content ideas.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with the Salesforce products and/or other SaaS and B2B technology platforms preferred.

  • Get-it-Done confidence to pick up and lead new projects even in the face of ambiguity.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $190,800 to $276,600.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
