THE ROLE
The Correspondence Services Representative uses the Image system and letter writing platform, following established procedures, to respond to MFS customer inquiries and transaction requests which cannot be processed as requested.  Provide written correspondence to customers in compliance with established policies and procedures.  Provide customer service and problem resolution assistance. Act as a client liaison with other MFS and MFSC departments to coordinate solutions to service issues.  Assume additional responsibilities as requested by management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Review incoming requests to determine the intent of the requestor.  Examine supporting legal documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Processes a variety of routine and complex responses to customers via letter, and e-mail while meeting or exceeding department standards for productivity and quality.
  • Communicates by letter, fax, and email correspondence with shareholders, participants, broker/dealers and others to verify information and clarify requests or provide appropriate documentation to customers as requested.
  • Interacts with other departments within MFSC to resolve problems and answer questions.
  • Act as a client liaison with other MFS and MFSC departments to coordinate solutions to customer service issues.
  • Uses MFSC technology resources to ensure consistent delivery of quality service to client.
  • Processes responses to routine items using letter writing platform and image system following documented department procedures.
  • Examines supporting legal documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Communicates with shareholders and broker/dealers to verify information and clarify requests.
  • Responds to basic account problems and questions.
  • Performs additional duties as requested.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work related experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred
