More about the role

We’re looking for a skilled and forward‑thinking professional to lead our laboratory operations, ensuring accurate measurement processes, strong engineering support, and continuous improvement of product quality. In this role, you will oversee daily laboratory activities, guide a multidisciplinary team, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners to secure product compliance, measurement excellence, and operational efficiency. Moreover You will be responsible for leading the laboratory through the accreditation process.

What You Will Do

Quality & Compliance

  • Prevent quality issues by ensuring product compliance through QTP execution and expert guidance on standards and requirements.
  • Oversee product certification processes and manage cooperation with external certification bodies.

Measurement Excellence

  • Lead development and improvement of measurement techniques and equipment within agreed measurement uncertainty.
  • Supervise maintenance, repair, calibration, and procurement of measurement systems to guarantee reliable and repeatable results.
  • Organize customer‑specific measurements and create procedures for recurring service activities.

Operational Leadership

  • Execute laboratory strategy to secure cost‑efficient operations that deliver timely, high‑quality product data and certificates.
  • Manage laboratory budget, resources, and human capital to support current and future business needs.
  • Ensure safety, order, and cleanliness using LEAN and 6S principles.

Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement improvement strategies for laboratory processes, workflows, and operational performance.
  • Build and manage laboratory competencies, ensuring the team and equipment are ready for today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.

Stakeholder Support

  • Provide expert support and advice to customers and colleagues within assigned competence areas.
  • Oversee external laboratory testing when needed and ensure smooth execution of outsourced measurements.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in quality assurance or laboratory management, with a strong background in measurement techniques, and equipment calibration (would be an advantage)
  • Knowledge of laboratory accreditation standards.
  • Practical experience with ISO/IEC 17025 implementation.
    Knowledge of lighting luminaire manufacturing standard (would be an advantage)
  • Experience in managing team of specialists.
  • Good communication in English & Polish
