Verizon Global Infrastructure is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Engineer (Production Implementation & Validation) to lead the safe execution and verification of Network changes within our next-generation data center network zones. In this role, you will provide critical "Follow-the-Sun" support, acting as the primary lead for implementing production changes and performing rigorous post-change validation once the US design and implementation teams complete their daily cycles.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all production modifications—ranging from firewall policy updates to core routing changes—are executed flawlessly and verified against performance KPIs. Working in a Fortune 50 environment, you will leverage advanced testing tools and automation to minimize risk and ensure our infrastructure remains resilient and compliant with global standards.

What you’ll be doing...

  • Leading the implementation of production changes within the data center network zones, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and change management protocols.

  • Executing post-change validation using automated testing suites to verify that production modifications have not introduced performance regressions or security gaps.

  • Monitoring real-time network utilization and health during and after changes, establishing KPIs to proactively identify and remediate anomalies.

  • Leveraging Spirent or similar test tools to conduct synthetic traffic testing, validating that new production segments meet throughput and latency requirements.

  • Performing automated compliance auditing immediately following production windows to ensure configurations match the enterprise "Golden Config".

  • Collaborating with US-based Leads to validate security policies and ZTNA rules, ensuring that production changes do not violate the Zero Trust framework.

  • Developing and maintaining detailed change artifacts and validation reports, providing a technical record of all modifications and their impact.

  • Providing technical leadership during the global handover process, ensuring that US teams have a clear status of production health at the start of their day.

  • Proactively address emerging vulnerabilities and risks identified during the validation process to maintain a hardened network posture.

What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or seven or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in enterprise network engineering, specifically in production change management and validation

  • CCNP certification - Valid CCNP certification in Routing and Switching, or other relevant tracks.

  • Prior experience leading automated network validation for large-scale digital transformation initiatives.

  • Possesses strong scripting expertise

Even better if you have:

  • Experience in Fortune 50 enterprise environments with complex, high-availability networking requirements.

  • Relevant industry certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, or vendor-specific security certifications.

  • Strong expertise in SASE frameworks, SD-WAN, and Data Center networking.

  • Hands-on experience with network testing tools (Spirent) and performance monitoring platforms.

  • Deep knowledge of firewalls, proxies, and VPNs, with a focus on validating security policy changes.

  • Familiarity with cloud-native security models and how they integrate with physical data center segments.

  • Strong understanding of industry security standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.

  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical validation results to a global team.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently during high-pressure production maintenance windows.
