Job Description:

The opportunity: 

As an SQTE, your primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and reliability of software products through rigorous testing and validation. You will play a key role in analyzing business requirements and executing both manual and automated tests. This role also involves mentoring junior team members and contributing to continuous improvement in QA processes. 

How you’ll make an impact:

• You will analyze business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable use cases and test cases. 

• You will design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test scripts using industry-standard tools. 

• You will execute functional, performance, and security tests to ensure product quality and reliability, and report, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA. 

• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to clarify requirements and resolve issues. 

• You will prepare and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, test cases, and QA sign-off reports. 

• You will conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for team members and stakeholders. 

• You will mentor and support junior QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning, while participating in performance evaluations and contributing to identifying training and recruitment needs. 

• You will demonstrate initiative in improving QA processes, tools, and overall team efficiency. 

• You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related IT field, coupled with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance. 

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including Agile/Scrum practices. 

• Proficiency in: Database and SQL, Programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, or similar), Test automation tools and frameworks and Test management and performance testing tools.

• Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. 

• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements. 

• Strong communication and presentation skills include experience in writing and maintaining technical documentation. 

• Ability to self-learn, research independently, and adapt to new tools and technologies.
