FindLaw exceptions / pricing / deal desk is charged with owning and enhancing the exceptions process for FindLaw customers to drive growth and improve customer retention. The Senior Analyst, Commercial Policy and Pricing (FindLaw) will provide expertise in all aspects of the exceptions process including: request processing, reporting around key performance indicators, policy recommendations and process enhancements as applicable. This position will also assist with other key analyses supporting FindLaw Revenue Management, and will work cross-functionally to implement approved recommendations. 

About the Role
In this opportunity as Senior Analyst, Commercial Policy and Pricing, you will:

  • Assist in supporting FindLaw goals by developing and supporting strategies and methodologies related to exceptions and revenue management initiatives  
  • Process FindLaw order exceptions on a daily basis consistent, supporting field and inside channel teams 
  • Analyze requests and determine financial and customer impact; make appropriate decision 
  • Work with cross-functional partners to gain additional input where necessary  
  • Develop effective partnerships and work closely with Sales, Product, Order Fulfillment, Ops., Order Capture Team, and Legal on policy enforcement and enhancement opportunities  
  • Work with Manager to create a plan to reduce FindLaw exceptions volume and processing time while giving clear line of sight to Sales and Account Management stakeholders regarding associated recommendations  
  • Analyze, synthesize and prepare data to provide insightful recommendations appropriate for review by senior level management  
  • Assist with review of non-compliant FindLaw orders and audits as required  
  • Other analytical work as assigned 

About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Analyst, Commercial Policy and Pricing if your background includes: 

  • 5+ years experience with increasing responsibility in detailed analytical work, preferably in the area of pricing or other customer-oriented metrics  
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment  
  • Proven ability to construct and perform analysis and reporting, including data sourcing and data mining leading to key insight development 
  • Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally with individuals and teams 
  • Understanding of core marketing and financial principles underlying the price/value relationship  
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong financial acumen  
  • Ability to manage multiple action items and work cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders to gain agreement on exceptions to standard business and ordering policy  
  • Ability to relate to all levels of management across Marketing, Sales and Finance  
  • High energy and ‘can-do’ attitude with ability to meet tight deadlines  
  • Comfortable working individually and in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Access 
  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, finance or economics or equivalent work experience 
  • MBA preferred  
  • Statistical background a plus
