Job Profile Summary
The Manufacturing Product Industrialization Engineer is responsible for leading and monitoring the implementation of process development activities for high complexity projects, integrating lean manufacturing methodologies, completing Manufacturing BOMs, developing industrialization concepts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success independently. The role contributes to the development of industrialization concepts and product solutions aligned with target manufacturing objectives, and fosters seamless integration between design and production processes. The role initiates and oversees process technology development activities in the context of New Product Generation as well as product and solution technology roadmap. The role prioritizes adherence to safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements, along with compliance with local laws and company policies, during the execution of highly complex processes and standards.
Job Responsibilities:
• Pilots and monitors the implementation of the process development activities for high complexity projects to streamline procedures, enhance efficiencies, and ensure optimal outcomes within the defined project scope.
• Drives the design and implementation of Lean Manufacturing (DFLM) methodologies within Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) processes, ensuring thorough integration and seamless inclusion of designs, particularly emphasizing high-complexity projects.
• Reviews and approves process requirements sourced from product specifications provided by I&D, alongside manufacturing requirements, ensures that process and equipment capabilities are in line with specified criteria and coordinates resources and schedules to meet deadlines effectively.
• Utilizes advanced analytical skills to efficiently address high-complexity requests in product industrialization, applying conceptual thinking to develop innovative solutions and strategies tailored to meet manufacturing and project delivery objectives.
• Participates in shaping, refining, and implementing product industrialization organizational policies that directly influence current operations and have the potential to impact the broader organization's functions and strategies.
• Completes the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) and finalizes routing of Master data, facilitating seamless integration of product specifications and ensuring efficient execution of manufacturing processes.
• Executes highly complex processes and standards ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements, as well as compliance with local laws, company business principles, and other pertinent policies.
• Specializes in design changes within factories and supplier sites, guided by PDLM-managed projects, and ensures adherence to standards and timelines, relevant processes, product introductions, qualifications, and releases.
• Develops industrialization concepts aligned with product requirements, designs solutions to meet manufacturing and project delivery objectives, ensures seamless integration between design and production processes, optimizes designs to comply with updated standards, and rigorously reviews processes to ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols.
• Collaborates with cross-functional team members during product development to ensure program success and works with internal and supplier partners to deploy/source equipment, processes, and procedures fostering a safe, secure work environment.
Minimum required Education:
Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum required Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 3 years of experience with Master's in areas such as Manufacturing/Operations environment, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Production Engineering, or Cost Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred Certification:
Lean Six Sigma or equivalent.
