Strengthen our team as our SAP Data Migration Lead

Location: Home based, fully remote

Vetting: Due to security clearance requirements candidates must be eligible for or currently hold SC. Candidates must have resided in the UK for 5 years and over.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced SAP Data Migration Lead to join our Greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementation programme. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and delivering the end‑to‑end data migration strategy, ensuring that legacy data is accurately extracted, transformed, validated, and loaded into the new SAP landscape in line with business rules, regulatory expectations, and audit standards.

About the Role

As the Data Migration Lead, you will act as the programme’s authority on all aspects of SAP data migration. You will govern extraction, transformation, and load activities across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and technical domains, ensuring consistency, quality, and readiness for testing and go‑live.

You will lead Explore workshops to define legacy sources, migration scope, and transformation logic, while coordinating mock loads, reconciliation cycles, and validation activities. A key part of the role is driving data quality, resolving defects, and aligning stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of clean, trusted data into S/4HANA.

What You’ll Do:

• Define migration scope, legacy data sources, and transformation rules.
• Develop, own, and govern the end‑to‑end data migration strategy and execution plan.
• Lead mock loads, reconciliation cycles, and data validation activities.
• Partner with functional teams to define business rules, data ownership, and acceptance criteria.
• Support testing cycles, including SIT, UAT, and defect resolution.
• Maintain comprehensive migration documentation, audit logs, and compliance evidence.
• Collaborate closely with cutover and testing teams to align timelines and dependencies.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the uplift of data governance capability across the programme.

What We Are Looking For:

• Extensive experience delivering SAP data migration within S/4HANA Greenfield programmes.
• Strong understanding of legacy systems, data structures, and transformation logic.
• Hands‑on experience with LSMW, BODS, LTMC, ETL tools, and SAP Data Services.
• Knowledge of reconciliation methods, audit controls, and business validation processes.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional dependencies and drive stakeholder alignment.

• SAP S/4HANA, SAP LTMC, SAP BODS, LSMW, SAP DS
• JIRA, Confluence, Solution Manager
• SAP Activate and Agile delivery frameworks

Desired Qualifications

• Degree in Data Management, IT, Business, or related field.
• SAP Data Migration certification preferred.
• PMP or data governance credentials desirable.

• Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on data integrity, quality, and risk mitigation.
