What impact you’ll make

As the Aero NU Project Portfolio Leader you will operate as a wing-to-wing execution leader for tendering and execution of Aero equipment and Turnkey contracts.

Our Project Portfolio Leader are accountable for on time delivery of Aero turnkey power plants proposals including contractual technical scope, schedule, project cost definition and contract fulfillment and within allocated budget.

You will also lead and manage a global team to ensure all aspect of our Aero New Unit tendering and execution of a contract are completed with quality.
In this role you will also be accountable for delivering business financial metrics for each of the assigned products/projects.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Drive execution of the technical components of proposal strategies.
  • Guide the establishment of the project scope definition and proposal technical content.
  • Oversee development of the project execution schedule.
  • Manage aggregation of plant/equipment cost estimates.
  • Responsible for overall technical risk management of tenders.
  • Manage the partner relationship regarding technical aspects including DOR.
  • Lead technical negotiations and contract definition for Consortium Agreements as needed.
  • Manage project execution post contract signature.
  • Provide strategic direction as well as routine operational guidance to direct reports. 
  • Works with the sales and commercial team to develop and finalize the project execution strategy.
  • Ensure adherence to internal risk review and release processes; participate in risk reviews during ITO phase.
  • Translate generalized business objectives and priorities into concrete strategy and tactical plans for the global organization.
  • Ensure timely appointments of key project team members.
  • Manage and lead a team of Project and Tendering organization to achieve and further improve the cost, schedule, quality and EHS targets.
  • Own the project execution strategy, establish, implement, and maintain operating standards to ensure quality project results and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze risks, establish contingency plans, and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigation action. 
  • Work closely with direct reports in tracking and reporting on actual progress vs. Planned, cost, and schedule, 
  • Initiate and lead senior management project reviews as requested.
  • Oversee relationships with customer, partners, and main subcontractors to ensure smooth operation of projects and smooth dispute resolution.
  • Conduct progress review meetings with customer, partners and/or main subcontractors periodically.  
  • Institute effective claim strategies towards customer, partners and/or main subcontractors.
  • Influence selection of team members with responsible line functions.
  • Manage and communicate a clear vision of the business objectives and motivate the team to strive for excellence.
  • Create an environment that enables peak performance by team members.
  • Coach to clarify assignments and deliverables; mentor others in the team; review quality of the work and provide performance feedback.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical) or in Business management or equivalent experience
  • Min. 10 yrs of experience in Project management, Product management, Engineering or Tendering Management  
  • Min. 4 years of team leadership experience with direct reports

What will make you stand out

  • Meaningful experience in direct contract negotiation with demonstrable success rate & expertise working with Aero product offerings
  • Good understanding of our Aero Products for contract execution, financial closures, and revenue recognition criteria
  • Technical understanding with commercial background in Aero Gas Power or/LM products and industrial segment.
  • Understanding of power plant operation and key components. 
  • MS in Engineering degree (Electrical or Mechanical) or MBA
  • PMP Certification is a plus
  • Experience in delivering technical solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Previous experience in working with customer, developing, and preparing technical proposals and contract negotiating
  • Familiarity with design and specification of industrial systems typically used for power plant applications. 
  • Highly organized, self-starter with strong technical knowledge of the Aero New product line
  • Keen understanding of technical issues and of their commercial impact
  • Effective delegation skills and ability to hold team members accountable for delivery highly adopting a strong collaborative leadership style
  • Decisive attitude and the ability to deal with ambiguity in a constructive manner

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $154,800.00 and $258,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
