Job Summary:
The Captive Account Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of captive insurance accounts. This role involves developing and maintaining client relationships, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing the financial performance of the captives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance, risk management, and account management, with excellent communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for captive insurance clients.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns.

    • Provide regular updates and reports to clients on the performance of their captive insurance programs.

  • Operations Management:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of captive insurance accounts.

    • Ensure all captive activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including underwriters, actuaries, and regulatory bodies.

  • Financial Oversight:

    • Monitor the financial performance of captive accounts, ensuring profitability and financial stability.

    • Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and reports.

    • Conduct financial analysis and recommend strategies to optimize the financial performance of the captives.

  • Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

    • Identify and assess risks associated with captive insurance programs.

    • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.

    • Professional certifications such as CPCU, ARM, or CIC are preferred.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance, risk management, or a related field.

    • Proven experience in managing captive insurance accounts is highly desirable.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of insurance principles and captive insurance regulations.

    • Excellent analytical and financial management skills.

    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
