About the Role
Opendoor is on a mission to tilt the world in favor of homeowners by making buying and selling simple and fast. We're solving one of the most complex, high-stakes transactions in people's lives.
We're looking for a versatile Product Designer to join our lean, focused team. You'll primarily work on Growth (landing pages, top-of-funnel experiences, acquisition), but you'll also flex across our Seller and Buyer domains as priorities shift. This role is for someone who thrives in variety and can context-switch quickly without losing momentum.
You'll work in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift weekly, and you'll need to be comfortable owning multiple workstreams simultaneously. This is an in-person role based in San Francisco or Seattle.

What Makes This Role Different
Generalist by necessity: We're a lean team solving complex problems across multiple domains. You'll get deep in Growth, but you'll also contribute wherever we need strong design thinking. If you want to own one thing for 6 months, this isn't it. If you want variety and direct impact, this is perfect
High autonomy: Small team means less process, more ownership. Your voice matters
Direct impact: Lean team means your work immediately affects millions of users and core business metrics
Room to shape the team: As we grow, there's opportunity to influence hiring, process, and team direction
Mission-driven work: Help people navigate one of the biggest, most stressful decisions of their lives
What This Role Is NOT
A fundamental drive and passion for Opendoor’s mission and the willingness to do the hard work required.
The base pay range for this position is $170,400-$238,000 annually, plus RSUs and bonuses. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including unlimited PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
