Position Summary:

At KSM, our people are at the center of everything we do. As a Tax Support Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our tax teams by delivering high-quality administrative, operational, and client service support. This role is essential to maintaining efficient day-to-day operations, enabling our client service teams to focus on delivering value to our clients.

You will work closely with tax professionals and operations teams to coordinate workflows, manage documentation, and support internal and external communication. This position is well-suited for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Tax Operations & Workflow Support

  • Monitor team workflows and manage incoming requests to ensure timely response and balanced workload distribution
  • Track engagement progress and provide visibility through reporting and dashboards
  • Identify and address workflow gaps to improve team efficiency

Client Deliverables & Documentation

  • Maintain tax documentation systems to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility
  • Prepare and process engagement letters and Powers of Attorney (POAs)
  • Follow up with clients to obtain required documentation, including signed tax forms
  • Support client outreach to gather missing information

Tax E-Filing Support

  • Assist with tax e-filing activities in accordance with firm procedures and deadlines
  • Monitor filing statuses and escalate errors or exceptions as needed

Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, and travel arrangements for tax team members and leaders
  • Prepare, proofread, and format professional documents
  • Submit and track expense reports and reimbursements in accordance with firm policies
  • Support onboarding activities and assist with CPE coordination and recordkeeping
  • Provide general office support and assist with client document intake in coordination with processing teams

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, administration, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of administrative or operations support experience, preferably within a professional services environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies
  • Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
