The Job/ What You'll Do
We are seeking an industry expert to lead the strategic growth of private assets business within AssetMark, a leading wealth management platform serving Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and independent financial advisors. This role will report to the SVP, Head of Investment Products, and work with the senior management team to define the vision, scope and roadmap to bring together AssetMark’s capabilities, third-party strategists and prominent private equity sponsors to build solutions for clients across the wealth spectrum.
This critical leadership role is responsible for leading the growth strategy that will elevate the AssetMark wealth platform capabiltiies to include empowering financial advisors with guidance and access to private market solutions. A well-qualified candidate must be commercial-minded, with an understanding of the market dynamic in private markets and the ability to think like a visionary but act strategically. The Vice President will lead the strategy, evaluate new business and product ideas, generate research and market intelligence related to the broader industry, monitor the competitor landscape, lead financial modeling and pricing decisions, and advocate for features and capability enhancedments, all with the purpose of spearheading increased growth and helping to identify the next big opportunity for the Firm. The role will also lead the strategic partnerships with private equity sponsors to ensure commercial alignment. This role is vital in establishing AssetMark as the Wealth Platform of Choice for independent financial advsiors and help them serve the needs of their HNW and UHNW clients.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to one of our following offices: Chicago, IL or New York.

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is as follows:
Salary for candidates located in Chicago: Between $225,000-$260,000.
Salary for candidates located in New York: Between $225,000-$290,000.
This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
