Job Description:

Retail Buyer in Portugal

TJX is the leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the world, delivering great value to our customers through the combination of brand, fashion, price, and quality. Our retail chains, present in nine countries, include TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Winners, HomeGoods, Sierra, TK Maxx and Homesense.

A crucial part of our Company is represented by our Global Buying Offices, where resident buyers and sourcers purchase goods locally and scout regional markets looking for exciting products for our stores.

Global Buying Offices in Europe are present in Portugal, Italy, UK, and Spain and we have Associates also in Poland and the Netherlands.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Evaluate products during the selection process, considering fashion, quality, price, and brand relevance
• Understand appropriate buying quantities aligned with OTB guidelines and store presentation needs
• Monitor and analyze competitor activity across stores, online, and media to identify trends and opportunities
• Build and maintain strong market relationships and presence
• Travel regularly to explore new markets and sourcing opportunities
• Negotiate purchases within defined parameters
• Conduct analyses to support seasonal strategies and review key buying reports
• Identify and discuss business trends with Buying Team and Market Managers

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in Portuguese and English is essential.
• Previous experience in buying for a retail company
