Summary: The Node.js Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services and APIs using Node.js. The role requires strong hands-on experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, microservices architecture, API development, database integration, and cloud deployment practices. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions while adhering to coding and architectural best practices. Role and Responsibilities: • Develop, test, and maintain backend services and microservices using Node.js. • Build scalable and secure RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end, mobile, and third-party systems. • Design and implement reusable modules, libraries, and backend components. • Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other NoSQL/SQL systems. • Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices. • Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve system reliability. • Develop backend logic using JavaScript or TypeScript following best coding practices. • Collaborate with DevOps to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments. • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design. • Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA, Cloud, Architecture, and Product. Professional and Technical Skills: • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript. • Good understanding of Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks. • Experience in building and consuming REST APIs and backend microservices. • Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases. • Experience with unit testing frameworks (Mocha, Jest, Chai, etc.). • Proficiency in Git, version control, and Agile methodologies. • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP). • Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
