Main Purpose:

The Strategic HR Program Manager is a pivotal role responsible for evaluating and integrating the financial, social, and environmental impacts of HR practices while managing high-impact HR projects and programs. This role is instrumental in advancing the double materiality assessment process, aligning HR strategies with corporate sustainability goals, guiding strategic decision-making, and ensuring the impactful execution of key HR initiatives to drive both financial performance and social impact.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and champion an innovative strategy for double materiality assessment within HR. Integrate HR’s materiality assessment with the company’s overall sustainability and financial objectives. Create and implement policies and frameworks to drive the assessment process.

Financial, Environmental, and Social Materiality: Own the strategic collection, analysis, and interpretation of HR-related financial data. Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with HR practices. Collaborate with financial departments for cohesive planning and analysis. Lead all aspects of comprehensive assessments of the social and environmental impacts of HR policies. Create and implement initiatives to enhance positive social and environmental impacts. Ensure HR strategies align with overarching sustainability goals.

Stakeholder Engagement: Develop collaboration across HR, sustainability, finance, and other key departments. Engage proactively with external partners to gather input and validate findings. Incorporate feedback into HR strategies and reporting.

Reporting and Communication: Create and maintain a detailed materiality matrix specific to HR. Prepare and present impactful reports on assessment findings to executives and the board. Craft and implement a communication plan to share insights with internal and external partners. Ensure all reporting adheres to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Continuous Improvement: Benchmark HR practices against industry best practices to drive excellence. Lead innovation and improvement efforts in the assessment process. Develop and deliver training programs on double materiality principles. Periodically review and update assessments to reflect evolving environmental and regulatory landscapes.

Project Management: Complete and implement central projects aimed at improving organizational effectiveness and culture. Collaborate cross-functionally with department heads and key collaborators to drive project objectives and deliverables. Develop project plans and ensure timely execution and implementation. Work closely with department heads and business leaders globally to foster collaboration and consistency in HR practices.

Data Management & Analysis: Collect and analyze HR data from various sources, including HRIS, performance management systems, and employee surveys. Create and maintain key HR metrics and dashboards to track HR Key Performance Indicator in line with CSRD recommendations. Collaborate with HRIS team, HR business partners, HSEC, and other departments to understand needs and provide data-driven solutions. Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations to HR leadership and other collaborators, in line with regulatory requirements.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HR with significant experience in sustainability, risk management, or related areas. Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and pivotal initiatives.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, strong leadership and team management capabilities, excellent communication and collaborator engagement skills, proficiency in data analysis tools and software, deep knowledge of sustainability reporting standards, and advanced project management skills.
