The Village Veterinarian is a full-service small animal hospital, offering the gold standard in medical and surgical care. We believe healthy pets make happy people, and we strive to provide high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs in The East Village! Our diagnostic equipment includes an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, endoscopy, and ultrasound. Most importantly, we have phenomenal, experienced support staff who are crucial to the success of patient and client care.  Our doctors perform a variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries and dentistry. All our patients undergoing anesthesia have per-op lab work and receive an IV catheter, IV fluids, and are carefully monitored and recovered by our skilled surgical technicians.

What you'll do: 

  • Assist in surgeries and exams.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Run lab tests and imaging. 
  • Monitor anesthesia.
  • Provide top-notch nursing care.
  • Assist in the coaching and training of practice staff.
  • Educate pet parents.
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment.
  • Communicate with clients.

Your credentials:

  • πŸ‘©β€πŸ”¬ Licensed as a Veterinary Technician in NY; willing to consider experienced unlicensed veterinary technicians as long as license is anticipated to be received in 6 months or less. 
  • πŸ” A flair for surgical support and anesthesia vigilance.
  • πŸŽ“ An Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology.
  • πŸ“š A wealth of knowledge in all things veterinary.
  • 😺 You're the ultimate pet whisperer, stress or no stress.
