Job Purpose:

Our Packaging Equipment Sales Specialist will be responsible for direct sales of packaging equipment and related consumables within an assigned geography. The Specialist will assess processes, product quality, and environmental factors to develop automation solutions that increase customer productivity and improve total cost. They will also perform customer sales calls, needs analysis, and proposal creation/presentation.

Job Responsibilities:

● Identify and research specific market segment needs; develop and present tailored product and service solutions.
● Conduct competitor analysis and market research to inform strategy and support management with insights and recommendations.
● Pursue and acquire new customers within assigned market segments, meeting established growth targets.
● Assist in developing training and certification programs for sales representatives to support market segment needs.
● Present and close technical product proposals to decision-makers within customer organizations.
● Oversee product/service fulfillment, including ordering, delivery, installation, and startup for end-user accounts.
● Collaborate with certified sales reps and product managers to transition ongoing service responsibilities.
● Source and coordinate with suppliers/vendors and procurement teams to meet supply chain requirements.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Determine customer specific needs research and prepare presentation of product designed to satisfy specific account requirement.
• Train sales reps on packaging equipment and all related consumables.
• Identify and qualify state-of-the-art new packaging equipment and/or vendors with new technology.
• Develop and present technical product presentations and quotations to technical managers, production managers and at the highest levels within designated customer organizations.
• Supervise the acquisition, ordering, delivery, installation and start-up of product order for end-user account.
• Plan focus and target accounts, markets, industries or geography activity plans
• Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.
• 5 years + of experience in consumable packaging industry specializing in materials and/or equipment
• Salary Range $120,000 - $135,000 annually

Work Experience:

● 1-3 years of related job experience.

● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

● Bachelor's Degree Preferred
