Your Responsibilities:

  • Support on literature studies for new trends connected to in-cabin experience.
    • Feasibility evaluation for the automotive domain
  • Support at planning, design, and testing of new features
    • Child presence detection
    • Alcohol intoxication
    • Various drug abuse
  • Support on product evaluation activities
    • General testing activities
    • Test report generation
  • Evaluation of digital testing methods for DMS and OMS systems
    • Synthetic data
    • Digital scenario generation

Your skills / qualifications:

  • Motivated candidates, proactive mindset
  • Preference for major in automotive engineering, robotics, computer science or related fields
  • Profound analytical and mathematical skills
  • Basic knowledge and strong interests in one of the following fields: ADAS/AD, systems engineering and simulation
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluent in English, self-organized

Nice to have:

  • Background in computer vision

Your Tasks:

  • Evaluate model based approach for ear estimation from current landmark model
  • Integrate said model and set up inter-process communication
  • Test approach on different dummies (mannequins) and human test subjects
  • Set up audio tuning filters according to head / ear position
  • Evaluate possible audio tuning solutions for intermediate ear positions (interpolation, etc.)
  • Possible future task extensions
    • Evaluate effort to integrate proper image-based ear tracking (can we add the ears to our current landmark set)
      • What are drawbacks, but what are advantages (considering the whole product -> maybe there is an advantage for driver monitoring; increase robustness of face tracking
    • Integrate previously mentioned approach on occupant monitoring camera (larger FOV)
      • Possibility to extend approach on all occupants

Skills:

  • student with major in automotive engineering, robotics, or related fields
  • profound analytical and mathematical skills
  • basic knowledge and strong interests in one of the following fields: ADAS/AD, systems engineering and simulation
