What you will do

Join a high-performing team that’s transforming how we source, scale, and optimize world-class products. As an Associate Sourcing Manager for the Endoscopy Division (Hybrid), you will lead world class supply base performance and cost optimization for current products.  You will partner closely with New Product Sourcing, Category Management, and cross-functional teams to drive quality, delivery, and cost excellence. You’ll stay ahead of market and technology trends, determine supplier strategy, and help build a best-in-class global supply base. This is a hybrid role. We are seeking a candidate in San Jose, CA or the surrounding area. The employee is expected to be physically present at the San Jose Stryker location an average of 3 days per week.

  • Lead cost reduction performance for responsible categories

  • Drive supplier development initiatives to improve delivery, quality, and overall performance.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in structured supplier selection and sourcing decisions for current products.

  • Negotiate long-term agreements and statements of work

  • Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers while managing seamless business transfers when needed.

  • Use data analytics to uncover opportunities that enhance supply base performance and cost

  • Execute continuous improvement initiatives across department and division.

  • Build strong supplier partnerships that support operational excellence and strategic growth objectives.

What you need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field

  • 6 years of experience in supply chain, operations or engineering

  • Demonstrated ability to lead effective relationships, internally and externally

  • Demonstrated excellence in cost reduction, including ideation, activation, & execution

  • Ability to lead difficult conversations and negotiations with suppliers

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to identify optimization opportunities

  • Experience delivering supply base optimization in areas of delivery, quality, and cost

  • Contracting experience of medium level complexity

  • High in emotional intelligence and stays calm under pressure. Adept in conflict resolution

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in fast paced environments

  • Can influence without direct authority in a way that makes others want to be on their team

  • Exercises good judgment and can weigh benefits and risk in order to make solid decisions despite ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field 

  • 113,900 - 186,700 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 30%
