Firstmark Services is the operational division for consumer loan servicing within Nelnet Diversified Services. We provide innovative and flexible financial solutions that enable our clients’ success and deliver a positive experience to their customers.

The Specialty team is responsible for high-risk functions and requires detail-oriented individuals that perform with a high degree of quality. The Firstmark Services Specialist I - Specialty provides a superior customer experience, performing multiple complex duties, and researching unique issues within the Specialty team. The Firstmark Specialist I – Specialty associate will be responsible for prequalifying and processing customer’s cosigner release, loan modification, credit reporting and disputes, ID Theft/Fraud and bankruptcy processing.

Must reside in Nebraska, Texas, or Wisconsin.

Starting pay rate of $16.50 per hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commit to Performance Based Organization (PBO) & Easy to Do Business with (ETDBW) philosophy.

  • Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement.

  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities & consistently meet deadlines.

  • Identify trends and problems.

  • Maintain procedure and process map changes.

  • Research and resolve complex and unique accounts.

  • Work with internal and external customers; resolving issues.

  • Maintain files on problem accounts, items and transactions.

  • Provide information to other areas of the company.

  • Develop, maintain and distribute reports as necessary.

  • Provide backup support as directed by leadership team.

  • Provide training as needed.

  • Perform quality control functions as needed.

  • Work on special projects as assigned by leadership team.

EDUCATION: 
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s in Business or Accounting preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 2 - 3 years of customer service, general office, accounting and research experience preferred. 

  • Knowledge of Loan Servicing and/or Originations systems preferred.
