Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Windows Administrator to manage and maintain our Windows-based systems, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and various Microsoft technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems.
  • Manage Active Directory, including user/group management and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Perform regular system updates and security patches.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability.
  • Conduct regular backups and ensure data recovery processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and outages.

Security:

  • Implement and maintain security policies to protect systems from vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks.
  • Manage antivirus and endpoint protection solutions.

Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support to end-users for Windows systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Document system configurations and troubleshooting steps.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain scripts for automation of routine tasks using PowerShell.
  • Implement automation solutions to improve efficiency.

Collaboration and Projects:

  • Work with cross-functional teams on IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and security practices.

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Windows Administrator or in a similar role.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct backups, and ensure data recovery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Implement security policies and conduct audits.
  • Provide technical support to end-users.
  • Collaborate with IT team members on technical issues and projects.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
