Job Duties:
Plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation
Perform detailed review of construction documents to quantify project materials utilizing appropriate software. Solicit pricing from and coordinate with various trade partners to ensure a complete bid. Coordinate and collaborate with other internal team members to ensure that all items within the documents are captured, with no overlaps or gaps between various scopes. Coordinate and collaborate with operations teams to ensure that items required by operations are incorporated into the estimate. Level and compare trade contractor bid proposals and develop internal estimates for items not included. Develop and organize questions related to the bid process. Issue questions to the design team / owner and follow through on ensuring that all information is communicated to all team members and trade partners. Write detailed scopes of work for specific trade packages ensuring that all applicable items are addressed in trade partner proposals. Investigate material lead times, alternate materials and approaches to ensure that a comprehensive proposal is submitted with appropriate measures to ensure competitiveness.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Special Requirements:
Position requires at least some experience in each of the following skills:
Analyze, interpret and develop detailed civil, architectural and structural construction estimates specific to the data center and healthcare markets.
Utilize WinEst & Ediphi estimating software to analyze, interpret, and develop detailed estimates for civil, architectural, and structural construction projects.
Utilize On-Screen Take-off quantification tool to analyze, interpret, and develop detailed material quantities.
Utilize Procore and CMiC project management software to manage project documentation, communication, and workflows.
Utilize SmartBid bid software to customize bid lists for appropriate subcontractor engagement within the market appropriate to trade partner workloads and capabilities.
Utilize AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) software to create detailed construction models and plans.
Utilize Microsoft 365 & Bluebeam Revu in order to create and manage project documentation.
Utilize AGTEK software to analyze and quantify cut and fill volumes, create 3D models of terrain, and generate accurate cost estimates for earthmoving operations.
Review, analyze and level trade partner bid proposals for award recommendations.
