Why this role is important?
Basic Function
Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager Procurement, the Supply Chain Replenishment Analyst provides analytical support for purchasing, monitoring demand and supply for the organization.
Nature and Scope
The Supply Chain Replenishment Analyst reviews and optimizes inventory levels, provides forecasts to ensure overall goals in service level, inventory investment, sales and purchasing revenue are achieved.
What you will do
- Monitors various inventory related systems to ensure accuracy of data and updates as necessary.
- Creates, monitors, and adjusts all necessary forecast fluctuations to ensure proper stock at the Distribution Centers. Maintains accurate forecasts to achieve service level goals and places PO’s with all vendors.
- Identifies inventory inaccuracies to provide effective resolutions including closing purchase orders due to shortages, damages, long term unavailability and items no longer available due to product being discontinued.
- Contacts vendors to obtain updated information on items currently on backorder to provide the stores an accurate availability date.
- Reviews all open orders, taking into account current on hand inventory and the required vendor lead times to ensure goods are received on a timely basis for distribution.
- Ensures master data is accurate and maintained in applicable systems
- Manages the process of ramping down inventory levels of future de-listed items.
- Analyzes sales and inventory data to determine optimum purchasing multiples and recommend highest cost-efficient purchasing strategies.
- Manages provincial price changes and adheres to all upcharge regulations.
- Manages all short dated products/ expired products and works with warehouse to create and confirm all return PO’s to vendors
- Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible
- Liaison with Finance representative to process client credit and assist as necessary.
- Liaison with Warehouse team for order processing, delivery scheduling, follow ups, order changes etc.
- Coordination and tracking/analysis of successful/re-attempt/unsuccessful orders.
- The ability to be sensitive to client concerns, investigative skills to resolve distribution oddities, and the ability to provide clear communication/service
- Other projects as assigned by the Sr. Manager, Procurement
- Must be flexible to work overtime when/if required.
What you will need
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in a analyst/purchasing role or related experience, equivalent to a certificate in inventory management.
- Demonstrated multi-tasking, analytical and problem-solving skills a must while maintaining positive client relations.
- Proactive, strong interpersonal, negotiation and consensus building skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Responsive, adaptable to change and is self-directed.
- Ability to identify problems and draw upon a range of choices to formulate solutions.
- Adaptable to set and prioritize work with occasional exceptions. Able to work with diverse personalities and styles.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Communicates with clarity, verbally and in one on one or group situations, or over the telephone.
- Computer skills to maintain databases and spreadsheets and produce accurate reports and documents.
- Post secondary courses, or related experience, equivalent to a certificate in inventory management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems preferred
