JOB SUMMARY

The Trade Compliance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring full compliance with International Trade Regulation applicable to Mexico. This position requires advanced knowledge of Free Trade Agreement (FTAs), origin determinations, US Trade remedies, and Mexico trade programs such us IMMEX. The role supports all Jabil Mexico sites b y providing technical guidance, risk analysis, and regulatory oversight to minimize customs exposure and ensure proper duty treatment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform origin qualifications and determinations in accordance with Mexico's Free Trade Agreements (USMCA, EU-Mexico, CPTPP, among others).
  • Conduct substantial transformation analyses to determine country of origin for customs and trade remedy purposes.
  • Analyze and apply US trade remedies, including Section 301.
  • Manage and support IMMEX program compliance, including procedures and fillings before the Mexican Ministry of Economy
  • Handel Trade-related authorizations such us PROSEC, Regla Octava and other applicable trade facilitation schemes.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and asses and assess their impact on operation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to trade compliance
  • Support risk assessments and implementation of corrective actions when needed

  • Barchelor's degree in International business, international Trade Customs or a related field
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is required
  • Minimun 2 -3 years of experience in Trade Compliance or international Trade Operations.
  • Strong Knowledge of:

Free Trade Agreements applicable to Mexico

Rules of origin verification processes.

US Section 301

Substantial Transformation criteria

Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Preferred skills

Experience in manufacturing or maquiladora environments

Familiarity with customs audits and origin verifications.

Attention to details and strong compliance mindset
