Join Art of Problem Solving as a Computer Science Curriculum Developer and help us build our middle and high school computer science curriculum from the ground up.  In this role, you’ll craft engaging in-person and online courses that challenge bright minds and foster deep computational thinking while shaping what computer science education looks like at AoPS. At the Senior level, you will lead development of full courses or equivalent scopes of content.

The Computer Science Curriculum Developer will:

  • Outline and develop new courses and other educational materials. 
  • Improve existing materials based on student performance data as well as student and teacher feedback.
  • Incorporate feedback from team members and other stakeholders into their materials. 
  • Oversee work of more junior curriculum developers collaborating on their projects. 
  • Review and provide feedback on outlines and educational materials created by other curriculum developers. 
  • Participate in teacher training and the creation of training materials, if relevant. 
  • Participate in the onboarding, training, and development of interns and more junior curriculum developers. 

The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field, with advanced degree a plus
  • A minimum 3-5 years teaching CS and/or developing K-12 curriculum
  • Ability to break down complex CS concepts into clear, engaging, and understandable content
  • Track record of creating engaging problems and puzzles
  • Strong collaboration skills with teachers and projects stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of K-12 students' learning needs
